A cornerstone of the University’s mission is to foster excellence, and that is not limited strictly to undergraduate students seeking a degree. In recent years, Truman has found ways to meet educational needs beyond the classroom.
The newly created Data Science Certificate is designed to supplement the skills of working adults and give them the tools to succeed in the advancing fields of data analysis and management. Graduate certificates are perfectly designed for individuals that already have a college degree but need just a few specific courses in order to take on a new role in the workplace.
Truman’s Data Science program is entirely online. The five-course program is competency-based, allowing participants to complete the main assessments of a course when they are ready. For students who have not completed undergraduate pre-requisites, online equivalents are available at various points during the academic year.
Complete details about the program can be found at go.truman.edu/data, or by contacting the Institute for Academic Outreach at (660) 785-5384 or institute@truman.edu.
